InfoDay on EUs Erasmus+ Programme oportuntiies in youth and sport (25.09.2025, Chernivtsi)

On September 25, 2025, the National Erasmus+ Office team, in cooperation with the Chernivtsi City Council, held an Information Day of the EU Erasmus+ Programme in the fields of Youth and Sport. The event was attended by about 15 representatives of state, private, and non-governmental organizations working in non-formal education, youth, and sports from across Ukraine.

In the first part of the session, Kateryna ZHDANOVA, Senior Manager of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, presented the initial steps for organizational participation in Erasmus+. She provided detailed information on available resources for newcomers, specifically the Programme Guide and official portals. The speaker emphasized the importance of analyzing existing experiences and successful project examples, explaining how to assess an organization’s capacity and eligibility for specific calls. Furthermore, she offered practical advice on partner search strategies and effective interaction between stakeholders during application preparation.

The presentation also clarified the use of key online resources, including application portals and registration tools such as the PIC (Participant Identification Code) and OID (Organisation ID). Kateryna Zhdanova demonstrated the registration process, profile setup, and eligibility verification. To conclude this session, she highlighted cooperation projects and partner engagement tools, detailing the key requirements for project proposals and evaluation criteria, while presenting the PIF (Partner Identification Form) and Concept Note as essential instruments for partner search and project design.

In the next part of the event, the speaker explained the minimum requirements for virtual exchanges and the objectives of learning mobilities for youth and youth workers. She highlighted key differences in participation for various target groups and walked participants through the main elements of the application form necessary for a successful submission. Practical tips were provided on how to increase the chances of success by considering the specific context of Ukrainian organizations and existing expertise.

Finally, Kateryna ZHDANOVA covered the key aspects of cooperation projects and capacity building in the fields of youth and sport. She detailed participation requirements, application structures, and the goals of the calls, while emphasizing the need for synergy between projects in Ukraine and the EU. Special attention was paid to the evaluation criteria, underlining how alignment with these criteria ensures project effectiveness and addresses the current needs of Ukraine during martial law.
